Tha Chang grilled chicken is one of the most famous dishes in Nakhonratchasima province because of its special ingredients, especially the chicken which is a domestic fowl from CP company.
Thachang Grilled Chicken is being served in the restuarant which is located at 111 Moo.10 Thachang, Chalermprakiat, Nakhonratchasima.
To make it covenient to the customers, the grilled chicken can be ordered by telephoning the restaurant number and it will be delivered to them by bus, such as Pattaya route, Chaing-Mai route and Bangkok route.
There are 14 branches in Nakhonratchasima.
The restaurant is open everyday from 5.30 a.m. – 7.30 p.m. and it is close on the fourth Wednesday of every month.

There are many names of gable, such as Gled-Gom gable,Loog-Fuk gable.

The model of Korat traditional house use the shoreaobtusa to make a circle post, the diameter 5-5.5 inch and bury it in the ground,deep into the land,it’s about half a metre and bore the center of the post snd insert the Rod through the post or shaft,the end of two hsndle long about 30 cm ,post head makes to be spur,called “ candle strick ” high one hand span for put on the beam into the candle strick and hold on the two handle beam.

The Korat Song

The Korat Song is a local song. It is only vocal with no instruments used. It is an extemporaneous format song with quick interchanges between men and women where they say that Thao Suranaree likes the Korat Song a great deal, that if anyone supplicants Thao Suranaree for a blessing, they will be able to receive one with the Korat Song. She is thus seen as one who injects breath into the Korat Song so that it lives on.

Luang Poo Toh Temple


____If there are people talking about this province a lot, then they are probably thinking about the monument of Thao Suranaree, Korat silk, Korat rice noodle, Phimai historical park, or Khao Yai national park. There are few people who know that there is the "Luang Poo Toh temple" in Nakhonratchasima. So let's we introduce you to know the Luang Poo Toh temple.

____Luang Poo Toh Temple is an important tourist attraction of Nakhon Ratchasima and is the pride of the Sikhiu people who coordinate with Sorapong Chatree. Luang Poo Toh temple is on Hightway Number 2 in Sikhiu district. It is about 40 kilometers from Korat . If you come from Bangkok it is on your left. There are a lot of interesting things to see such as garden arrangements, garden trees, a selection foods, Buddhism activities, pray the Buddha image, feed the fish in the pond, and the prominent point of this place is the statue of cast metal of Luang Poo Toh. It is the bigest in the world , and is made of brass and stands about 8 meters high.

You can tour the place in comfort and is open to the public every day.

The Sand Stone Carving


Korat is one of the interesting places to travel in Thailand. The tourist places to travel in Korat are many places such as Phimai historical park, a monument of Thao Suranaree, Dan Kwian ceramics, Khao Yai national park, Pak Thong Chai silks, Wang Nam Khiao, Sikhiu, etc.


-Sikhiu is one of the districts in Korat which has the sand stone carving. The sand stone carvings are the products that are sold for the gift or souvenirs.

There are many types of sand stone to make stone carvings. Here are some examples of sand stone types: pink sand stone, red sand stone, green sand stone, yellow sand stone and white sand stone. The shopkeeper brings into the sand stone from the mountain where is sold to make products.

There are many kinds of products such as the image of Buddha, animal statues, children statues, monk statues, etc.

-The tools for making the sand stone carving are as follows; electric drill, grinding disc, tape measure, cold chisel, hammer, pencil.


The ideas to make the products

The products are usually designed by the customers but sometimes the shopkeeper designs by using the form of the Thai children himself.

Time to make the sand stone carving depends on the products that the customers’ order. Some products last for 1-2 months. Some last for 4-5 hours.


The prices of the sand stone carvings depend on size of the products. The small size is about 35-300 baht. The medium size is about 500-1,000 baht. The large size is about 10,000-200,000 baht.
